Nacido en 1975 en San José, realizó estudios superiores en la Universidad de Costa Rica (1993-1994) y en la Facultad de Arquitectura y Estudios Ambientales de la Universidad del Diseño (1995-2000). Trabajó como diseñador en Jaime Rouillon Arquitectura (1996-1999). En 2000, obtuvo el premio a la Mejor Tesis de Grado por el proyecto Rain Maker y ganó el primer lugar en el concurso “afiche 80 años” del Magisterio Nacional. También recibió menciones honoríficas en el “ACSA/OTIS Elevator International Student Design Competition” y en el “ACSA/Wood Products Council”. Se incorporó al Colegio Federado de Ingenieros y de Arquitectos de Costa Rica (A-10555) en 2000. Realizó estudios de postgrado en la Universidad de Rice, obteniendo un Máster en Diseño Arquitectónico (2001-2003) y ganó el “Darden Award” a la mejor tesis de grado. Trabajó en Carlos Jiménez Studio en Houston y fue conferencista en el evento Mundaneum Verde en 2004. Ese mismo año, se asoció con Isidro Ramírez y María de los Ángeles Solís para formar Norte Sur Arquitectos. Publicó en el libro “Everything Must Move” en 2009 y ha sido profesor de Taller 8 y Unidad de Titulación en la Universidad Véritas desde 2009 hasta la actualidad. Está especializado en visual merchandising.

In 2000, he received the Best Graduation Thesis award for the Rain Maker project and won first place in the "80 Years Poster" contest of the Magisterio Nacional. He also received honorable mentions in the "ACSA/OTIS Elevator International Student Design Competition" and the "ACSA/Wood Products Council." He joined the Federated College of Engineers and Architects of Costa Rica (A-10555) in 2000. He completed his graduate degree at Rice University, obtaining a Master’s in Architectural Design (2001-2003), and won the “Darden Award” for the best graduation thesis. He worked at Carlos Jiménez Studio in Houston and was a speaker at the Mundaneum Verde event in 2004. That same year, he partnered with Isidro Ramírez and María de los Ángeles Solís to form Norte Sur Arquitectos. He published in the book “Everything Must Move” in 2009 and has been a professor of Studio 8 and Thesis Unit at Universidad LCI Véritas since 2009 to the present. He specializes in visual merchandising.
